At a height of 52.80m, right under the dome of the Basilica, an external gallery allows you to discover a breath-taking view of Brussels and Brabant. On a clear day one can see as far as Mechelen Cathedral and the ‘Plan Incliné’ of Ronquières.
Visitors of the panorama can also visit the museums during the opening hours. The panorama and the museums are accessible with a lift.

A glass elevator was installed in the north tower of the National Basilica of Koekelberg, as envisioned in the original plans by architect Albert Van Huffel. This allows all visitors, including those with reduced mobility, easy access to all parts of the Basilica, from the ground floor to the 10.50-meter galleries and the panoramic view.

This project, as well as the modernization of the panoramic elevator, was made possible thanks to support from the National Lottery.
