to the official website of the National Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Koekelberg!

The Koekelberg Basilica ranks fifth among the world’s largest churches, after the Basilica Notre-Dame de la Paix in Yamoussokro on the Ivory Coast, St Peter’s in Rome, St Paul’s in London and Santa Maria Dei Fiori in Florence.

Today, the church is in the first place a place of prayer for peace. The church is still used for celebrations of the parish or for big national celebrations.

Visitors and tourists are also welcome to tour this beautiful building.

During the summer hour from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During winter hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Panorama:

During the summer hour from 9 am to 5:30 pm (Last ticket 5 pm)

During the winter hour from 10 am to 4:30 pm (Last ticket 4 pm)

Shop:

From 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
