Antefestival

On 11, 12, 18 and 19 October 2025, we will be showcasing the architectural treasures of Brussels from the ‘long 19th century’ (~1780 → 1920), representing more than a hundred years of evolution, transition, disruption and major technical and stylistic experimentation.

Inauguration of Huet stained glass window

The Basilica of Koekelberg, a jewel of Brussels architecture, houses a remarkable collection of stained glass windows created by Belgian master glassmakers of the 20th century. Among them, Jan Huet (1903–1976) created six windows between 1957 and 1962, depicting Belgian religious figures and groups. These works, created in a figurative and colourful style, contribute to the artistic and spiritual richness of the building.

Kim En Joong exhibition

Since 6 June 2016, the Basilica of Koekelberg has been hosting an exceptional exhibition by South Korean artist Kim En Joong, a Dominican priest, painter and internationally renowned master glassmaker. This exhibition presents a selection of his works, including his famous stained glass windows, in the Basilica's gallery.
