At a height of 52.80 metres, just below the dome, an outdoor gallery offers the most beautiful view of Brussels and Flemish and Walloon Brabant. On a clear day, you can even see Mechelen Cathedral and the Ronquières Inclined Plane!
Visitors to the panorama can also visit the museums during opening hours. The panorama and museums are accessible by lift.
A glass lift has been installed in the north tower of the National Basilica of Koekelberg, as envisaged in the original plans by architect Albert Van Huffel. This means that all visitors, including those with reduced mobility, can easily access all areas of the basilica, from the ground floor to the galleries at 10.50 metres and the panorama.
This project, as well as the upgrading of the panorama lift to current standards, was made possible thanks to the support of the National Lottery.
